Acceptance of Terms
By installing and using Kira, you agree to these terms of service. If you do not agree, please do not use the extension.
Description of Service
Kira is a creative platform for your webcam. It includes a Chrome browser extension that creates a virtual camera, allowing you to wear digital avatars, play with real-time toys, or build your own custom toys using our API. Use it during video calls, live streams, and other camera-enabled web applications.
Use of Service
You agree to use Kira only for lawful purposes. You may not use this service to:
- Impersonate others with intent to deceive or defraud
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Harass, abuse, or harm others
Intellectual Property
The Kira software and its original content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Third-party assets (avatar collections, toys, 3D models) remain the property of their respective creators and rights holders. When using the platform, you agree to respect all intellectual property rights.
User Content & Created Toys
When you upload custom images or create custom toys, you retain ownership of your content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any images or code you upload. By publishing toys to the gallery, you grant Kira a license to display and distribute your toys to other users.
Privacy Shield Feature Disclaimer
Kira includes a "Privacy Shield" feature designed to help protect your identity by automatically replacing your video feed when face detection fails or when multiple faces are detected.
⚠️ Important: Privacy Shield is currently in beta and is NOT infallible.
- Face detection may fail unexpectedly due to lighting, camera quality, or technical issues
- There may be brief delays before Privacy Shield activates
- The feature may not work correctly in all browsers or on all websites
- Software bugs may cause the feature to malfunction without warning
Do not rely on Privacy Shield as your sole protection against revealing your identity. If maintaining anonymity is critical for your safety, consider additional measures such as using a physical camera cover, dedicated privacy software, or not using video at all.
By using Privacy Shield, you acknowledge that it is an experimental feature provided for convenience only, and you accept full responsibility for any accidental exposure of your identity.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Kira is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all websites and platforms.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Kira.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of Kira after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
